Synopsis:American Addict 2 picks up where the first film left off exposing the political and corporate relationships that fuel the pills for a problem medical system that has become pervasive in the US. In the sequel there is an emphasis on how this is affecting people on a grassroots level. We see the daily challenges of patients with chronic pain who take handfuls of pills every day. We also see through hidden cameras how easy it is to get these pills from doctors and off the streets. We uncover the link between mass shootings and prescription drugs and the marketing of pills to toddlers. This film may leave you horrified, angry and saddened but most importantly it will educate the viewer and offer solutions so they can avoid becoming an American Addict.
